Position: Associate AMFT, ACSW, APPC, PsyD

Position Overview:

We are seeking motivated associates who are interested in building a private practice. This role is ideal for those looking to develop their caseload with the support and referrals from our team. While the position is insurance-based, associates must be self-driven and capable of marketing and advertising their services to maintain an active caseload.

Unlike community mental health clinics, clients are not automatically assigned; the goal is to guide you toward establishing a private practice. The number of clients you see will depend on your networking, marketing, and advertising efforts. We will provide referrals when available.

This position is perfect for therapists seeking additional hours and requiring schedule flexibility.

Clinical Supervision & Consultation

While California has its own regulations, many states recognize the expertise and quality associated with supervision provided by an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. This highlights the importance of adhering to the specific standards and requirements set by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) to ensure high-quality systemic supervision.

Jose Guerra has undergone extensive educational, experiential, and supervisory training, which led to the prestigious designation of AAMFT Approved Supervisor. This advanced training equips him to support future clinicians in delivering comprehensive systemic treatment to clients.

Jose Guerra's supervision approach is rooted in a systemic orientation that considers the interconnectedness of individuals within their relational contexts, while upholding the highest professional and ethical standards. As a licensed clinical psychologist and marriage and family therapist, registered with both the Board of Psychology and the Board of Behavioral Sciences, Jose is qualified to provide clinical supervision and training. This supervision can count toward the accumulation of licensure hours for associate marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, professional clinical counselors, and psychological assistants.
